Question by starbase112: Where can I find a Canadian on-line (free) Xmas gift registry?
I would like one that does not allow a requester (list maker) to find out if an item has been purchased but allows givers to ascertain if a present has been purchased. This way keeps a requester ‘in the dark’ until Xmas morning thereby enhancing the occasion by its being a surprise..

The best one I’ve found is on the Sears Canada online site:

You pick a list of items that you want, then send the registry informaiton to your friends and family. They are able to see whether you received that item or not. You can see what items you bought if you want to, but if you don’t want to, then don’t revisit your registry nor check back at it for updates.
